WOODEN DOORS

• Industrial • Commercial • Domestic

There are two basic types of interior doors; 'Hollow Core' & 'Solid Core'
Each door comes in a variety of styles. Hollow core doors are the least expensive and most common in new construction, but they do not have the feel, sound proofing qualities or longevity of solid core doors.

Hollow Core Doors
They are narrow, solid wood perimeter with corrugated 'honeycomb' matrix in the middle covered on both sides by a thin skin of plywood.
Light weight and inexpensive

Solid Core Doors
The interior of these doors is made up of a slab of composite material or wood blocks glued together, then covered in a skin of thin plywood. Much heavier than plywood, providing much better soundproofing.
